I have used many free defrags and while some are better than others I have been faithful to O&O Defrag Free. Why? I read a review some time ago where basically all that are mentioned here where but through the test and bench marked and the one that clearly came on top was O&O Defrag Free. If I remember correctly, a close second was Auslogics Disk Defrag so I use O&O Defrag Free based on that review. All that are mention here are all good at what they do. I think it's more of a "love story" that most of use develop with the software and I'm sure that you would all agree with me.

RE: Opinion needed about MSE

cdnsempre, check out these topic regarding Disk Defragmenters to help you make a decision:
http://malwaretips.com/Thread-Auslogics-Disk-Defrag-Defraggler-Or-Smart-Defrag
http://malwaretips.com/Thread-Vote-Best-Free-Defrag-Software

Edit: That said, just because someone doesn't like IObit software, doesn't all their software is untrustworthy.

Auslogiscs disk defrag free is the WINNER or not?

IObit SmartDefrag is an excellent product, if you are happy with it then no need to change. IObit has some ethic issues but that does not effect the quality of their products most are top notch.

All defrag software have a different way of making your system faster but as the end result all will not have much different performance when compared. As long as you choose a software that has the convenient features that you know how to use and need is what is important. Some will be able to have a faster defrag speed than others if that is important to you. So do your own comparison between SmartDefrag, Auslogics and others that you want to compare and come to your own conclusions.

Don't let others decide for you, it's your system use what you want to use on it.

Thanks. :D

[split] Opinion needed about MSE

Thanks for the advice. I really notice that IObit Smart Defrag 2.8.1 performs its functions when the PC is plugged in to electricity.
It makes visible what!
I now ask you to advise me a software that is complementary to CCleaner free edition?
Thanks for listening!

I have developed my own scripts for MyDefrag, which gets my vote because it's so powerful. No program can be compared to MyDefrag when it comes to placing exactly what you want exactly where you want — and consequently no program can speed up a hard drive like MyDefrag can. The commercial UltimateDefrag, for example, although it's highly customizable, pales in comparison to MyDefrag's scripting.

I'm in the process of developing version 10 of my scripts. You can check them out here: http://www.mydefrag.com/forum/index.php?topic=5843.0. You can also get help developing your own scripts on the Forum, or download other user-contributed scripts. I also recommend reading Darlis' defragmenter tests.

I use MyDefrag (JKDefrag). Sure it's slow and the GUI isn't pretty at all but it's the defragger that best organizes, optimizes your files and leaves very little gaps. You can also make your own scripts if you like. Maybe the others are nice to look at when running but that's not really important. I just want a thorough de-fragmentation and optimization on my HD. That's it... I've also used O&O Defrag Free and paid version and I would call it a tie. Both do their job exceptionally well. The others, well, their either missing one or two operations so they can't really compare with these two. Take a look at "The Big Windows 7 Defragmenter Test" and look at the results and see where your favorite defragger stands. Just go HERE >>>> http://www.hofmannc.de/en/windows-7-defragmenter-test/benchmarks.html .... Have a great day to all, George.

I used MyDefrag in the past, these days I'm with PuranDefrag, mainly for its easy Boot-time defragging.

Hmm, I might just have to play around with MyDefrag and Auslogics Disk Defrag

Windows built-in for me, anyway defragging tools dont give much benefit to the system compared to the built-in one. That optimize your system automatically.

Defragging more than once every 3 months is useless and will put a strain on your HDD.

I used to use Auslogics and hands down its the best. But now I am using Defraggler because it got SMART monitoring and boot time defrag. Speed wise its not as fast as Auslogics.

I thought the whole point with 3rd party defraggers is that some of them offer Boot-time defrag, whereas Windows own built-in one doesn't, and its the Boot-time defrag which offers the main improvements?

Honestly i tried many defraggers with boot time defrag capacity and i never saw any visible improvements that makes them a must-have to me.

Not saying that boot time defrag affects few files
