There's a wierd empty txt file named uk_proces_state that keeps appearing on my desktop and it keep coming back after i delete i multiple times. Any idea what it is guy??
An empty file named uk_proces_state.txt is not a standard Windows file that I can identify with confidence. Its repeated creation usually means that an installed application, updater, script, or scheduled task is recreating it. The name alone is not enough to determine whether it is malicious.

Safe steps to identify the cause

  • Right-click the file, select Properties, and note its exact path, creation time, and whether the filename extension is really .txt.
  • After deleting it, check which action causes it to return—for example, starting Windows, opening a particular application, or connecting to the internet.
  • Review Settings > Apps > Startup and Task Scheduler for recently installed or unfamiliar software. Do not disable or delete entries unless you know what they belong to.
  • Run a scan with Microsoft Defender, including an Offline scan if you notice other suspicious symptoms.
  • For a more precise answer, Microsoft Sysinternals Process Monitor can be used to filter for the filename and show which process creates it. This is safer and more reliable than guessing from the name.

You can also search the exact filename in reputable search results and in the installation folders of your applications, but avoid downloading “file fixer” or registry-cleaner programs based solely on this file.

If Process Monitor shows an unfamiliar executable creating it, submit that executable or its hash to VirusTotal and have it analyzed before removing anything. Until the creating process is identified, the most accurate conclusion is that this is an application-generated file of unknown purpose, not confirmed malware.

I have never had that & can't find any reference to it, you may have a program that is creating it, as bot says have a look if any other processes are running that ought not to & run a second opinion scan such as ESET etc. & see if anything shows up, how long has the file being reappearing? Have you installed a new program recently?? That is a likely cause - I have a glimmer in back of mind I had something similar once but can't remember what.

Are you sure it is a text file? When you click on properties and look at its location, is it located on Desktop or is it a shortcut that points to another location?

Hardly think this is malware, since why would a cybercriminal drop a visible file on the desktop? But to be sure, as mentioned above, create a malware removal thread accordingly.
