Advice Request What Are Your Prefered Second Opinion Malware Scanner/Scanners?

Windows itself also run every month their own second opinion scanner which is called MRT.exe

If the system is also compromised, a second opinion scanner wouldn't work - if the malware is not from a script kiddy. Only live medium scanner works as real second opinion, which works without active running OS

You should probably start watch MTs Malware Hub. SOS is key tools after very serious infections and those samples are Not script kiddy shares.

I do not use second opinion scanners. If something is accepted by SmartScreen then I simply allow it (EXE, MSI installers). If not, then I wait one day (or more if the file is very suspicious) and rely on WD BAFS detection (forced by RunBySmartscreen). I do not run scripts or other files if I do not understand what they do.

Rarely, I inspect the file via online services (like Hybrid-analysis or Any.Run + VirusTotal) and sometimes also in a virtualized environment (free VPN + ShadowDefender + H_C or WD Application Control in Audit mode).
In most cases, the malware can be recognized just by looking at the Mitre Matrix :
