Advice Request What AV for an Android Phone?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.
@harlan4096, I tried Kaspersky Standard, enabled features/applied settings, on a Xiaomi phone with Android 11. I then tried to uninstall Kaspersky through the phone's "Manage Apps" feature. Kaspersky blocked its uninstallation and requested the "code" set. I minimized or sent the blocking window to "recent" with the phone's button. I tried the uninstallation with "Manage Apps" again and could uninstall Kaspersky.

I'm my KPremiun, you have to go to Profile button on bottom right, then Configuration, and at the end of that window:

@Marko :), Your points explain why I avoid antivirus installation on my family's Android phones. NextDNS runs on all our phones, Google Family Link is on the kids' phones, and I've adjusted the phone settings. Do DNS services, such as NextDNS, provide sufficient protection against phishing, malware, scams, and similar dangerous links?
Nope DNS didn't stop it. My parents had ADGuard Running and the ad still was poping up. They were also running ControlD DNS through ADGuard DNS selection portion of the app. ControlD was set to block Ads, malware, VPN, social media, and other sites that 90% of folks over 70 won't visit on their phones. Alas, the Ad based infection still got through and was able to display.

Now I am kicking myself for not pinpointing which app it was exactly that did the infecting. I got pissed and did nukeN`Pave to get rid of it since who knows what else it was siphoning from their phone.

A kicker was that it was my mom's phone and she doesn't venture into the wild side of the net while my dad is a typical dude if you know what I mean.

I have a one-year subscription to Bitdefender.
I tried it, but it uses a lot of RAM on my phone (Samsung A56)
500MB, but sometimes 950MB.
I find it too much on the phone.
McAfee has a six-month trial version.
This only uses 300MB.
I also watch Eset.
For me, phishing protection is important.
I use this mainly: Chrome (with this NextDNS).
Which of these security software do you recommend?
