I'm expecting a visit soon. I don't trust them very much, but I need to show them some games, etc., so I can't use a Guest Acc. I will be watching them ALL the time except when I go to the bathroom. What is the worst they can do besides installing a HW key logger? I have all my discs encrypted and the computer will be locked by my account pass if I'm not in the room with them.

Backup your personal and confidential data and then throw your computer away - destroy the original storage media properly (do not just throw it away because data can be recovered from it, preferably safely destroy it).

Buy a new system and then put no personal and confidential information onto it.

After you've received the company you're expecting, destroy the system which you left for use to the attacker.

Go out and buy a brand new system. This one you can use.

If you don't mind me asking, why would you willingly allow someone you know is an attacker to go near your physical hardware in the first place?

Another viable option would be to just remove any storage media and then start live-booting from supported Linux distro's... and tell whoever it is you know who will be around your systems that you removed Windows after your HDD/SSD broke. Once they are gone, put it back in. Wallah.

I don't mind it, I totally get it that this sounds weird :-D But it's simple - bunch of friends, but you never know. I expect some kind of a prank (worst case scenario).

Thanks for your suggestions, but that's a little overkill. I think I will use a Guest Acc.

They're going to ruin your computer, empty your bank account with escort services & alcohol orders on Amazon Fresh and steal your Badoo girlfriend.
Made my day :) I'll just lock the screen + my BitLocker is on, so I just wanted to know hypothetical scenarios :)

At times when relatives call in like today I often put this PC on Shadow Defender mode, it's not a 100% protection by any means but can help as some (my daughter & daughter-In-Law) can mess a PC up just by looking at it, they never know & when they gone I boot out of it.

Best suggestion. Just make sure SD is PW protected
