Interesting. It looks like the region setting makes a significant difference here. WindowsLite.net comes up for me.
Used this specific website as a test because G never got it as one of the firest 3-5 results before; this time it did not get it at all!Interesting. It looks like the region setting makes a significant difference here. WindowsLite.net comes up for me.
Brave had it as the first item.Tried to search for a specific website using all; the order in search results was as the following:
Google: 16th
Bing: Not in the first 53
DDG: Not in the first 54
Brave: Not in the first 58
Yahoo: Not in the first 56
Yandex: 8th
Ecosia: 4th
Startpage: 1st
Qwant: Not at all
Mojeek: Not at all

I believe it means the local area where you live, e.g. Amman, Aqaba, etc.Local means Jordanian websites?
Not for meBrave had it as the first item.

I really love that Brave has the "Search with AI" toggle to use the "Ask AI" option on demand. Google sucks and makes AI answers mandatory.
After doing away with the suggested autocorrection for "windowslite," Brave Search turned up this site as the first result.
I was using DDG, and asked chatGPT and it suggested Startpage was more private than DDG with better searches from google. I've been liking Startpage. (fwiw)DDG follows Bing; Ecosia and Startpage follow Google, but refined.
It's amazing how much better Brave was at finding results related to local content like weather, places, etc. in general than DDG.I really love that Brave has the "Search with AI" toggle to use the "Ask AI" option on demand. Google sucks with its mandatory Gemini answers.
Indeed, I used to use SP. I never liked DDG. Hate the name. Wasn't impressed with results, etc.I was using DDG, and asked chatGPT and it suggested Startpage was more private than DDG with better searches from google. I've been liking Startpage. (fwiw)
Brave Search has suited me just fine since I picked it up recently, but I'd happily switch over to Startpage, which offers quality results in a sleek package. I should also express kudos for their "anonymous view" web proxy feature.I was using DDG, and asked chatGPT and it suggested Startpage was more private than DDG with better searches from google. I've been liking Startpage. (fwiw)
On Google the site is number 1 in my search result when I am logged in.Tried to search for a specific website using all; the order in search results was as the following:

Tried G again right now; the same results as yours. On Google the site is number 1 in my search result when I am logged in.
Number 2 in private tab/not logged in.
So, Google is fine in my case![]()
Bing is good these days, but I don't think anyone still uses Yahoo.I am using bing now, i can't use google because gfw, but I think we don't need to pursue extreme privacy, so google or bing or yahoo is enough for us, although brave is better in privacy, it can't compare with google, we need a convenient solution
if you want to keep extremely privacy, i recommend you to use tor with duckduckgo
My wife isn't even sure which search engine she usesI don't think anyone still uses Yahoo.
Just like my family members, they use Google search and Yahoo Mail because these are the services they started using first, they don't know any alternatives, and they don't like trying new things. My wife isn't even sure which search engine she uses, but it used to be Yahoo only. I just checked and she's using Google, likely because it's the default provider.
Are you all not use Yahoo anymore? I always thought this was very popular in the United States.Bing is good these days, but I don't think anyone still uses Yahoo.
