My Thoughts on The Boys Season 4:

My Thoughts

This was possibly the worst season so far.

But I can not remember how I originally rated it with the others.

So I could be wrong.

But the show is still watchable, and I am still curious to see where it goes.

It still did enough to not be bad, but it is just not as good as when it first started.

I'll admit that I watched all the way through seasons 1 to 4 of The Boys. At some point, it felt like I was pressing on just to follow through, but several elements of the show continue to be entertaining even at its weakest. I thought the cast was pretty memorable. I'm not sure how to feel about it all now that it's worn off and time has passed.

We've seen it before: even wildly expensive shows have dropped off towards the end à la Game of Thrones, which is still outstanding on the whole.

Thank you for sharing that @Miravi.

Yeah, some of the cast, like Antony Starr as Homelander, especially in Season 1, is a standout actor & character, in my opinion.

This next season is possibly going to be the last.

Hopefully it ends on a higher note than Game Of Thrones.

Game Of Thrones deserved a better last season.

In re-watching Better Call Saul, it reminded me of 3 movie scenes that impacted me as far as the powerful performance and story told by the actors.

1 Helen Hunt in the movie, As Good As It Gets, where she's at the kitchen with her mom writing the thank you letter.
2 Captain Quint and the USS Indianapolis speech around the galley table in, Jaws.
3 Mike's confession speech (Five-0 episode) to his daughter in-law that he was the one who corrupted his son, it was his fault in, Better Call Saul.

Great TV series, I'd rate #1 The Wire, #2 The Sopranos #3 Breaking Bad #4 Better Call Saul #5 Game Of Thrones (minus the last season what a piece of :poop:)

What Is It?

The 2024 American post-apocalyptic drama TV show Fallout Season 1.

Fallout Season 1 Trailer:

Fallout Show is Actually Good:

My Thoughts

Video game adaptations have a habit of not being good.

The first Silent Hill is one or several examples that were actually pretty good.

So there are exceptions.

That pattern and the fact that current Bethesda was involved.

Made me cautious about this TV show.

I watched this TV show in 2024 when my brother CC was visiting.

Fortunately, Season 1 was a pleasant surprise.

It did suffer from Bethesda's twist on the Fallout franchise, and from being goofier / cornier.

But it was not enough to make me not enjoy it.

There were some long time Fallout fans who hated this show.

But I, as someone who completed the video games: Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, and Fallout 4.

Actually did not hate it.

It was better than expected, and I looked forward to Season 2.

I am currently watching Season 2, and now my opinion of this show has changed.

My opinion about Season 1 remains.

But Season 2 currently feels like Bethesda / Todd Howard.

Are intentionally destroying / tarnishing / disrespecting / et cetera Fallout: New Vegas / Obsidian.

Out of jealousy, spite, et cetera.

Perhaps some long time Fallout fans were correct, somewhat, about Season 1.

At this time, I still recommend Season 1, but I would not recommend Season 2.

I did like Ella Purnell as Lucy.

I plan to rewatch Dark City. That movie shows how memory can be as manipulable as a misplaced file. And since this thread often feels like a cinephile confessional, I’ll admit: after watching it I sometimes wonder if my memories are truly mine… or if someone reinstalled them like updating software.:ROFLMAO:
