What movie are you watching or planning to watch?

Not a movie, but currently watching my way through Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 as i saw season 3 has been out for awhile and needed a refreasher
Also watching the Fallout Tv series, I've got alot to finish before my vacations over on sunday, lets see if my wife and daughter give me the time to

Waiting for Zootopia 2. Fun fact. Zootopia 1 was released in 2016, Utopia by Thomas More was released in 1516, exactly 500 years ago and it is basically the same concept.

I plan to rewatch Dark City. That movie shows how memory can be as manipulable as a misplaced file.
I love that movie, it is part of my collection. It inspired Matrix and lets not even dive into Mandela Effect. 🤫
Next Gen (2018) - 7723 - Listen. Our memories make us, who we are. Do not let the bad ones stop you from making good ones. Go make new memories.
Next Gen (2018) - Mai - You were trying to tell me and I, ... those memories were all you had and you give them up ... for me. I am sorry.

Thanks for your comment! Dark City, Matrix, the Mandela Effect, and even Next Gen remind us that while memories can be altered, the new ones we create are truly ours. And your note on Zootopia and Utopia is spot on—500 years apart, yet both chasing the dream of ideal societies 🎬

All these years and The Godfather is still rated greatest movie of all time, and I have to say I think they are right...

My other first to second choice (and this is personal, it will not fit everyone, as it is a Christian Movie) would be "The Passion of The Christ"

Both of these movies... Man the opening scenes, the first 10 minutes of each is intense.

Especially "The Passion" and my reason for that distinction is my minute understanding, yet intense study of the original languages used in Genesis CH 3...

It just doesn't look like it was an apple at all, and how can you curse a serpent to crawl on it's belly, if a serpent is indeed a snake to begin with.

So the translators did some funny maneuvering in their word choices.... I'll end this discussion with that since this is not a forum for religious discussions. I just thought I'd fill you in on WHY I gave the emphasis to The Passion, as the Godfather is truly a top tier number one movie.

What Is It?

The 2025 American political thriller TV show Paradise Season 1.

Paradise | First Official Trailer | Hulu:

Paradise: Season 1 Review (The Best Show On TV?):

My Thoughts

My library coworker Ms. JM recommended Paradise Season 1 to me.

If it were not for her, I probably would not have known about it.

I watched it and I also enjoyed it.

Now I am curious to see where it goes in season 2.

I would rate it a 3.5 – 4 out of 5.

And I think that this is one of several underrated TV shows of the year.

There is a mystery slowly being unraveled that keeps you guessing where it is going.

There is more to this TV show than you would think.

So give it a try.

I haven’t watched Paradise yet, but it’s on my list right after I finish The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie on Netflix. Even though they’re very different in style, both play with that same vibe of power and secrets that keeps you hooked.
So far (episodes 1 and 2) it’s been pretty entertaining: classic mystery, elegant pacing, and suspense that doesn’t feel overwhelming. I like mixing lighter stuff with heavier ones, and this miniseries hits that balance nicely.
In the end, it doesn’t matter if the secrets hide in British mansions with conspiratorial clocks or in presidential hallways full of intrigue: sooner or later they squeak louder than a rusty door… and that’s when the fun begins. 😉

I had not seen anything about The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie, so I just added to my list on Netflix, thank you, @Halp2001.

I agree. ;)

Just watched this: COMA : Tubi

The trailer left me with the feeling that, even if it doesn’t turn out to be a masterpiece, it at least promises a visual journey worth taking. The aesthetics instantly reminded me of Inception (2010, Christopher Nolan) and also Paprika (2006, Satoshi Kon), with those mental worlds folding in on themselves. And if not, well… we’ll always have DiCaprio running through endless hallways… 😉
After wandering through the suspense of Seven Dials and the intrigue of Paradise (thanks @goodjohnjr), diving into this alternate universe of Coma feels refreshing. After all, shifting from riddles to mental labyrinths is almost as natural as moving from decoding malware keys to decoding narrative ones. So yes, it’s officially on my watchlist now. 🌪️🧩

Thanks, @Halp2001, I just added Coma to my Tubi watchlist.

Inception is one of my favorite movies, and I also liked Paprika.

So based on your description, I will probably like it. :)

I hit pause on Paradise to give COMA a shot… and ended up in a self‑induced coma. The storyline is so scattered it feels like it was drafted in Excel with shuffled cells. The visuals, occasionally striking, often look like they were rendered on a “pirated AutoCAD with a hangover.”

Funny enough, the trailer is actually better than the movie itself: in two minutes it promises an intense ride, but stretched to ninety minutes the mix thins out and loses steam.

The final product feels like a sloppy cocktail: a splash of Inception, a dash of Paprika, a sprinkle of Matrix, all shaken with cheap vodka and served without ice. The result: confusing, unengaging, and hard to take seriously.

Still, if the goal is to kill some time without taxing your brain, it works… though I can’t shake the feeling I was sold HD smoke 🥱😴

Thank you, @Halp2001 for the warning / review, that is unfortunate.

Based on what you said, I assume that most people will like the movie Lucid Dream better than that, which I saw on Netflix.
