What movie are you watching or planning to watch?

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is on Hulu (USA) so I binged all the other 3. They are great popcorn movies, emphasis on popcorn. The plots are extremely simple, every movie trope you can think of is here lol. I really love the props the most. The post-apocalyptic scenery is truly beautiful.
Did you watch the originals from the 70's?

It's not a movie but an anime :)
(Next to Alya sometimes hides her feelings in russian which I really like)

yesterday, went to see Alien Romulus. See post above re review saying "well done, but this film was not needed." Having seen it, I concur with "this film was not needed." I gave only a 6 / 10 at IMDB. Sets were too dark for my taste, the actors too young to be stealing space ships and battling the Alien(s). Seems more like a video game to me. The good news -- I had a free ticket, & popcorn was good. So see it if you must but I do not recommend it, or wait for free streaming... The original Alien (1979) was so much better!!! IMHO.

I watched "Blink Twice" (2024) yesterday (I had a free ticket). Ok (but could have been better) Adria Arjona should have higher billing. IMO story gets "murky" in the last 30 minutes.

Just saw "Trap" (2024) Director M. Night Shyamalan. I had a free ticket to the cinema. I enjoyed it a little more than I thought I would. Gets mixed reviews, but I tend to agree with the good reviews.

I wish, our 90 year old theater burned down a few months ago, hasn't been in operation since Covid. Next closest one is a 2.5 hour drive.

What Is It?

The 2024 Netflix British mythological dark comedy television show Kaos (Season 1).

KAOS | Official Teaser | Netflix:

My Thoughts

This TV show was a pleasant surprise that I would have missed if the thumbnail & name of this show had not caught my attention when I was scrolling through Netflix.

I heard nothing about this show, oddly, which is a shame, because it is some Greek deities & mortals like you possibly have never seen them before.

A modern retelling of some Greek mythology with a twist.

This show deserves to be more known and seen, in my opinion, and I hope that it gets a season 2.

Jeff Goldblum is Zeus like you have never seen him before, and Janet McTeer fits the role of Hera well.

Also, Zeus’s choice of wristwatch in this show was a pleasant surprise, now I want a Casio watch like that. 😀

This show is not exactly family friendly, unfortunately, there are a brief nude & sex scene or two, and there are a few other things that were unnecessary.

Other than that, they did pretty good, and my brother GC & I look forward to season 2.

I was disappointed that we did not get to see many goddesses or demi-deities et cetera.

This is basically Netflix’s American Gods that is visually more colorful, more fun, and less weird.
