A nice break that I wouldn't have taken without your nudge (y)
A wonderful trifecta, Tommy Dorsey, The Pied Pipers with Frank Sinatra.

Appreciated Jonny Quest, we have similar affection for all music 🙇‍♂️

I didn't look it up but I would guess she is in her 80's, what an inspiration, truthfully, I think it's even better than the original.
Send in the clowns - Judy Collins - Composer, Stephen Sondheim

Basia: New day for you.

Thank you for sharing this song @Jonny Quest, you beat me to it, I probably would have gotten to it eventually. ;)

When I hear this song, it reminds me of my mom, Gloria Estefan, and the 1980s.

I probably heard this song back in the day because my mom had it in her music collection.

I added it to my music collection many years later when I heard it in a dream, which inspired me to add it to my music collection.

Wonderful backstory, @goodjohnjr, especially from someone who has such great and diverse musical taste, of all the music that you've posted.
And Gloria Estefan, you're right, that is a excellent connection :) :)

Thank you, @Jonny Quest, I appreciate the compliment, I definitely like a variety of music genres in various languages from various time periods, and I have definitely being enjoying music that you & others have shared here. :)

Yep, you got it, I was thinking of part of that Gloria Estefan song. ;)

I certainly miss the days when I was a kid listening to music on old records from my parent's music collection.

Sadly, after the record player broke & new technology like cassettes & then CD & MP3s came along, my parents never did build a diverse music collection again.

They mostly / only listen to gospel on the radio / Christian radio, there is nothing wrong with listening to gospel music et cetera, but now that is pretty much all they listen to.

Fortunately, when I got old enough to start my own music collection, those early days of having access to old records from different genres led to me always liking a variety of music.

Unfortunately, I was limited to mostly local radio, VH1, MTV, and a tiny bit of BET; until college when I listened to some online radio from France et cetera.

Which led to me discovering music by Pauline Croze and then building a more international music collection.
