Take an antivirus of your liking. It can be your favourite antivirus, or the one you're currently using.

Think of every module and capability it has: what would you add to it, to make it better, or more perfect?

For example, I'm thinking of one of my favourite antivirus: BitDefender. I would add an Application Control module, like the one Kaspersky has. That would make the absolute perfect antivirus IMO.

What about you?

Rely on a "default allow" AV ?? you gotta be kidding. Slap on WDAC as quickly as possible !
I'm using Kaspersky with AC on and set as untrusted for all unknown files even if signed :)

It seems you will shoot me in the head when you know that I am running Webroot 🤣
Just say NO to Webroot is akin to 🚬 = ❌

What would I add? Maybe MBAM web protection or what ever is industry leading these days to ESET. Web/Phising protection is #1 these days

But honestly my Yubikeys are my main line these days so..... No idea really. Happy with ESET/AppGuard.

In my case, it's not about adding features to provide better protection, as I feel very well protected with any of the better performing big name antiviruses and I'm not obsessed about trying to achieve close to 100% protection. I just wish that most antiviruses would be more configurable. For example, I like the option to be able to be prompted when something is detected, so I choose whether to quarantine it, or whitelist it - if I'm sure that's it safe. This is something that these days, the vast majority of antiviruses lack.
