Because Comodo is one of the best FREE security suite ever made with very strong prevention, highly tweakable and very light on the system.
it has a Local AV, Cloud AV, Firewall, HIPS and 2 Sandboxes.

If you can handle it, why you should pay for a suite that have a lesser protection.

The question itself is still an open ended question without a right or wrong answer. Some users fail to see this and simply draw their conclusions based on what people say (videos, text, opinions). Every user would have to consider what might not/might work for one user/system it is not correctly true that will perform the same on another user's system. Also system usage by the user needs to be taken into consideration (i.e. an online gamer would never use a HIPS solution based on prevention. Not to say it cannot be used, but the fact is that the prevention protection will end up being switched off when the user is doing its daily gaming tasks and then when taking a break, might forget to turn them back on, resulting in a exposed to infection window).

The best method is: test it for yourself and follow you guts feeling.

Sorry if I am being to straight but its the way I could find to answer that question.

Until OAP slowdown then screw my system even in a fresh reformating^^
EAM is almost perfect can't say the same for OAP...

I voted other. No real time AV since Dec 2010. No scanners installed in my systems for the past 7 months.

On the Home network: We have Bitdefender Antivirus, Norton Antivirus, Avast Free Antivirus.
