While Windows 7 has a fighting chance, it is game over for Windows 8.1

It's likely game over for any OS that can't be patched for new vulnerabilities and must be used online or with new files.
If you witnessed how long it took Microsoft to get people off Windows XP, then you know it'll be another decade before people stop using Windows 7/8.

It's the same cycle with every major release of Windows OS.

By "game over," I don't mean people won't use it. Rather, vulnerabilities will affect them.
