What's new in the Windows 11 KB5015814 update

After installing today's non-security update, Windows 11 will have its build number changed to 22000.795.

The Windows 11 KB5015814 cumulative update includes approximately 27 improvements and fixes, including the new Search Highlights feature.

"Search highlights will present notable and interesting moments of what’s special about each day—like holidays, anniversaries, and other educational moments in time both globally and in your region," Microsoft explains in the KB5015814 release notes.

Other highlighted fixes or changes are listed below:
  • Addressed an issue that would prevent devices from upgrading to Windows 11. This was related to the timing of certain operations within the OS and was not associated with device eligibility.
  • Fixed an issue where video clips were not playing in games or audio was not working correctly.
  • Fixed an issue reconnecting Bluetooth devices to audio devices after restarting those devices.
  • Fixed an issue with Microsoft Surface Dial that prevented the customizations settings page from working.
  • The Your Phone app is now named "Phone Link" on the Settings page.
  • Fixed a known issue that prevents devices from using the Wi-Fi hotspot feature.
As Microsoft no longer provides complete release notes in their cumulative update bulletins, you can review the June preview release notes to see what has changed.
