I disabled windows firewall and put simplewall, running fast with WD ,just wanted to know how do i stop the notification that firewall is off and get back the green icon in tray / Thks

Yes, but someone there may have encountered it as well. Remember, this firewall is built by a one-man developer and may not have perfect integration with Windows.

Try this maybe? Uninstall SW>reinstall> let SW disable WF.

* Simplewall always configures the Windows Filtering Platform (WFP) if enabled. (As does Windows Firewall) But leaving the Windows Firewall on together with Simplewall, leaves your device open to changes to it outside the scope of Simplewall. And any program can simple add filters to the Windows Firewall which practically negates protection.
Recommended is option 1: to let Simplewall turn the Windows Firewall off. (You can ignore the screams from Windows Security Center about it.)

I let simple wall turn windows firewall off from settings on its own.I guess the red icon will stay in the system tray? Thks
