[QUOTE="Sharonp, post: 345310, member: 29802"] I can not get the screen to do anything, I tried the f8 and that does not work. I am not getting any message on the screen. I also went to the hp website and it said to drain the power by unplugging and holding the power button down, then I restarted it and nothing changed. The computer comes on and shuts down after a few seconds, then I have to press the power button again. I hear the fan briefly go on as if it wants to start but then nothing but there are some lights on, like the wireless key, and the part where you use the pad instead of the mouse. As I was reading on the Hp site it did mention something might be loose. I turn my laptop upside down and shake it to clean the keys. Can something be loose, because I just did that, the day before it shut down, but it did not shut off after I did it. I do not know how to system restore without being able to boot the windows.
