@SeriousHoax as I thought, it is not an error in Wintoys, Windows Spotlight doesn't work for EU.

Yeah, you are right. I didn't think of it as an error of Wintoys, I thought maybe something is wrong with setting EU in my region but turns out even users located in EU has this issue.

I don't use Windows Spotlight as it was always broken for me + has ads. I use Dynamic Theme which does exactly the same and you can choose between Windows Spotlight images or Bing images.

I'm aware of this app and used it before for desktop wallpaper till Windows 11 gave us Spotlight also for desktop wallpapers. So, I haven't used it since.
But anyway, at the moment I don't have anything for which I would need DMA, so I've turned DMA off for now.

Update: immediately after setting Windows Spotlight for lock screen I got this picture. We'll see if it changes tomorrow as I don't see an option to update it.

It may take longer than a day to start changing, IIRC.
