I just found an older report below about similar issues related to "wsappx"

The wsappx process includes two seperate background services. On both Windows 8 and 10, wsappx includes the AppX Deployment Service (AppXSVC). On Windows 10, you’ll also see the Client License Service (ClipSVC). On Windows 8, you’ll also see the Windows Store Service (WSService) instead of ClipSVC.

If you see the wsappx process running in your Task Manager, expand it and you’ll see one or both of the two subservices running (depending on which version of Windows you’re using). These services handle installing, removing, and updating Store apps, as well as ensuring they’re properly licensed. [...]

Hello,
AppXSVC is related to Microsoft Store Apps(installing, uninstalling, updating). Some months ago i had a quite similar problem. The problem was corrupted windows store. The solution that worked for me, was installing Store Apps from "scratch":

Run powershell console as admin, then copy paste following code snippet below:

Get-AppXPackage *WindowsStore* -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)AppXManifest.xml"}

After Store Apps are reinstalled, then reboot. Remember, this fixed my problem with the Store. I cannot guarantee that it will work for your situation. But its worth a try.

Kind regards,

Hello,

Go to task manager, stop the service, create a restore point.

Go to: MEO Cloud - wsappx.reg
download my "wsappx" reg file, its from my pc.

Open reg editor and go to: Computador\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Svchost\wsappx

locate "wsappx"

Delete folder ""wsappx""

double-click in my reg file and import to your registry, reboot and see if the problem was gone.

Just checked updates and there are some errors
I had this problem, store started to download, but then stopped. Store requires some services to be running, like Delivery Optimization and Storage Service.
Store exe (Microsoft.WindowsStore_12011.1001.1.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\WinStore.App.exe) changes with the each update, check your firewall rules.

Till you find the solution, you might want to disable automatic updating apps as a workaround.

@JB007
Did you also rebooted your PC, even it errors?
Also you can try to reset your Windows Store Cache: Press WIN+R keys together to launch RUN dialog box and then type wsreset and press Enter

Also you can try to this another method:
Run command prompt as admin, then copy paste below:
powershell -ExecutionPolicy Unrestricted Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register $Env:SystemRoot\WinStore\AppxManifest.xml

If you have afraid to import a registry entry, that is your best option, do this command in command prompt (run as administrator):

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

All the services you see are determinate by the registry, one missing registry key can stop The AV can stop the updates, this is what malware does. To fix something the same thing, copy a healthy folder and it will be like a fresh installation.

Do this, your problem will be resolved, this is the solution who offer you the best chances.

Two days ago I rebuilt the defender and updates, because I was stupid enough two use a KMS activator for office 365 in the new machine, what opens was a trojan install in the system that delete a lot of the registry entries.

If a fallow the internet specialist I have to reinstall windows, but some few people in the net, recommend just a simple step that is to delete and import the missing or dissemble registry entries. And problem solve.

So you decide what to do, this is my advice.

P.S. - Yes the trojan disabled KIS in the new PC, not really happy with KIS, with a new installer KIS detected and deleted the Trojan, but the version install was dissemble.
