Do you think that HitmanPro.Alert is actually complementing Trellix Endpoint Protection? I doubt that it adds much value. Nice config otherwise

i personally love the vaccination feature since it destroys sandbox aware malware and the other risk reduction stuff

Actually I've never used any of them. I only used Sophos Intercept X, CylanceProtect and now Deep Instinct. Otherwise I only tried home solutions

Out of those two I'd defintely pick Trellix, yeah

Yup, if Trellix has system (not just files) remediation capability then Shadow Defender is not needed.

A few questions

1) Why you choose an end point security software for home use over say a top-notch AV/AM like Bitdefender/Kaspersky/Norton etc?

2) Does your risk factors justify the use of an endpoint security software? Can't a top-notch AV/AM do the job?

well. i just like trellix for some reason and it has better detection rates than norton and in some cases bitdefender. And its built for enterprise so the protection is really good.

Ok. Also more expensive than a home use AV/AM software

It uses McAfee engine. Seems look like it's McAfee endpoint.

Anyway it has comprehensive backup and rollback in case of a ransomware attack. It's as good as a 3rd-party one. This is superior than others which come with files rollback only or no rollback at all. Looks like you need to add another paid module for this feature

As @Kongo already commented, I think HitmanPro.alert probably is not needed, and would be overkill...

Thank you! I asked, because I will end up going back to using K. BD, MS-Defender, F-Secure, Emsisoft are the only AV products I really liked after kasperky, no AV product is perfect, however the other products I don't have a certain trust or I ended up not liking.
