Email scams are an unfortunate reality of our digital age, and scammers are constantly coming up with new tactics to deceive unsuspecting users. One such scam currently making the rounds is the ‘Photo Has Been Successfully Published’ email, which falsely claims that your photo has been published on Google Photos. According to the scam email, your photo has been successfully published on Google Photos, and the message includes a link that supposedly opens a Google Photos album containing the newly published image. However, the email is not from Google Photos, and the link does not direct you to an online photo album.

For example, another version, also claiming to be from Google, falsely states that your files have been published on Google Drive. Links in these emails will also direct you to scam websites. How to Protect Yourself

Install Malwarebytes
When the download finishes, open your Downloads folder and double-click the MBSetup file. If Windows shows a User Account Control pop-up, click “Yes” to allow the installation.
Follow the On-Screen Prompts to Install Malwarebytes
The setup wizard will walk you through a few quick screens:

Restart Your Computer
Some threats can only be fully removed after a reboot. If Malwarebytes asks you to restart, click Yes. Once you’re logged back in, Malwarebytes has finished removing the threats it found.
