Today (17.9.2022) we celebrate 30 years since the founding of our company, thank you for being with us.
On September 17, 1992, at a time when the Internet was still in its infancy, a group of IT enthusiasts consisting of Miroslav Trnka, Peter Paško and Rudolf Hrubý founded ESET, named after the Egyptian goddess of protection and healing. On this day, the company was officially established by registering in the commercial register.

Mine too, Nod32, loved it

I didn't know it was older than xp.
The first I found was NOD32. I remember often confusing F-Secure with NOD32 back then.

Using it since version 2. Absolutely lightweight when compared to others . And good protection capabilities.

What is the need to make the software bloated like the others?

There are several extensions already available for this, in my view, there is no need to waste time on it.

For me it is totally gadgety...
Of course it can help novices, but if the antivirus can alert on Google/Duckduckgo etc, it can also block the page
