I want to use ESET Antivirus (not internet security) so boot time scan (a scanning feature of Quick Heal ) is available? (Quick Heal boot time scan runs before computer startup, BIOS )

Hi is it possible for eset with all the options in settings that it could stop windows update from working properly or interfere with windows not booting right?
Can a av do this ?My older machine is seeing this and I can't find the reason.Thks

never had that happen in the 20 years that I've been using ESET's NOD32

I haven't come across anything like that either.
On the other hand, if you set the firewall (Eset Internet Security) too restrictively, for example, it can certainly make Windows updates unworkable.

Ok Just that I was having problems with windows update and Igot it down to wither eset or simplewall.
