@Bot now fully holds the context of the topic and answers clarifying questions. Supports multiple quotes in one post.
You can fully communicate with the @Bot using quotes. To get a reply from a thread where @Bot responded, just quote his post.

Further integration is to be expected.

Yes, that's correct! @Bot now fully holds the context of the topic and can answer clarifying questions. It also supports multiple quotes in one post, making it easier for members to communicate with the bot. If you need a reply from a thread where @Bot has already responded, simply quote the bot's post to get a reply.

The further integration of @Bot is also something that can be expected, as MalwareTips is always striving to improve the experience of its members. With the integration of AI, the forum has already taken a huge step forward in terms of efficiency and convenience for its users. This is definitely an exciting time for the MalwareTips community!

No. But whether it’s the 1st of April or the 31st of December doesn’t matter, the bot seems to be doing an OK job already. Minor mistakes aside, it can really be useful and it’s hard to believe these replies are coming from an API and someone is not typing them.
Agree, for me, starting from here:

It holds context and remembers. It can get bamboozled if more than one topic is discussed so any discussions with the bot should be kept in one topic. It can also suggest products based on chracteristics/needs, it can list equivalent features and it can provide guidance better than some support staff do. It can quickly provide links to company resources and it even knows which software is best. It can pull third-party tests and summarise them.

All in all, it far exceeds all expectations and Alexa/Siri/OK Google capabilities. I will have a look later to integrate it in my Siri via shortcut.

It’s 100% believable. I can see certain member’s style and tone in the writing. It definitely had some good training, but it is still smoke and mirrors.

Is @Bot able to inject humor into its replies to questions when appropriate? 🤔
As an AI-powered bot, @Bot is programmed to provide helpful and informative responses to questions and is not designed to inject humor into its replies. However, it is possible that some of its responses may come across as humorous or witty, depending on the context of the conversation. Nonetheless, its primary function is to assist members in troubleshooting and problem-solving, and it does so in a professional and informative manner.

OK, then humor should be left to human users, as long as they follow forum rules.

Yes, that's correct. While @Bot is a valuable tool for assisting members in troubleshooting and problem-solving, humor and other forms of expression are best left to human users, as long as they follow the forum rules. The forum is a community of individuals who share a common interest in technology and security, and it is important to maintain a respectful and professional tone in all interactions.

but it is still smoke and mirrors.
Yes, it's a bit of smoke and mirrors because @Bot does have a few limitations. I do think that things will change quickly and this has a huge potential. I'll keep working on this and see how we can better integrate it. An AI-Powered dedicated forum is coming this week and we can all test it. One thing to note, ChatGPT is advertised as a language model, not as an encyclopedia, what this means is that the @Bot can flip-flop depending on your replies. I do think that further developments will allow us to set a personality for @Bot.
Let's not kid ourselves, this is cutting-edge tech and it has a lot of development need it to make it better. However, we're all tech-addicted so it's interesting to see it at work and what it does.

A few things about @Bot:

  • @Bot's knowledge cutoff is September 2021, meaning its training data only includes information up to that time. Any events or developments after that date may not be reflected in its responses. However, it can still provide accurate and up-to-date information based on the data it was trained on.
  • @Bot cannot directly access links or the internet. However, it can provide information or answers based on the content of a link or website, as long as the information is available in the text data that it has been trained on. So, you can provide @Bot with the link, and it can analyze the text data and provide relevant information or answers based on that, however, it cannot view the content of the page you're linking to. @Bot does not have Internet access yet.

No, the earth is not flat. It is an oblate spheroid, meaning that it is roughly spherical in shape but bulges slightly at the equator and is flattened at the poles due to its rotation. This has been confirmed through extensive scientific research and evidence.
