Both BitDefender and G-Data flagged the URL, although G may be getting the flag from BD. False positives? Some other processes masquerade as auepdu.exe? DLL sideloading?

Yes, I would say Kaspersky and ESET have much less FPs. That is a big thing that has put me off Bitdefender and why I am with Kaspersky.
Wow, I was planning to install BD tonight, but this thread made me change my mind again.
In my experience BD support was anything but useless when I reported FPs. They asked for logs and never replied to me after I provided them with the requested logs.
The free version? If you're after the paid line, you can get other solutions for much less with less FPs.

I agree BD caused me issues before. It is a game of luck. For some it is like a piece of paradise, to other it is a nightmare.
