Hello, yesterday I installed an auto clicker, after a bit I uninstalled it, but today I noticed there was a pop-up for an update for the auto clicker, yet I uninstalled it the day before, after that I decided to run Malwarebytes, and there it was, like 3 detections, I think all of them were Adware, after quarantining them and restarting my computer, for some reason the pop-up appeared again, and after scanning AGAIN and finding only 1 detection and restarting the computer, it came back AGAIN, after that I tried adwcleaner, that didn't work either, the Adware kept coming back, I also found the location of the files (Screenshot) and it seems the map and the .dat file keeps coming back even after running the 2 programs, furthermore, I installed Zemana AntiMalware, yet on the smart scan, it didn't find the Adware file.

Can anyone help me with this problem? This is what the pop-up looks like : Screenshot

Hello, thank you so much, it looks like the adware was removed, not seeing the folder and the pop-up isn't appearing either.

But I have a question, what was in that fix file and what did the program do to remove the malware? It looks like it deleted temp files and cleared my history, but what else did it do?

Hi,

Stopping and deleting this.

() [File not signed] D:\Program Files (x86)\Free Auto Clicker\Free Auto Clicker Update.exe
ShortcutTarget: Free Auto Clicker Update.lnk -> D:\Program Files (x86)\Free Auto Clicker\Free Auto Clicker Update.exe () [File not signed]

The rest of the fix was just maintenance.

Stay Safe.
