AdwCleaner is a program that searches for and deletes Adware, Toolbars, Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP), and browser Hijackers from your computer.
Using this program you can easily remove many of these types of programs for a better user experience on your computer and while browsing the web.

AdwCleaner specializes in removing:
1.Adware: Programs which have been installed that are running unwanted advertisements on your system.
2.PUP's or Potentially Unwanted Program
3.Toolbars
4.Hijacker Home page, browser and advertisment hijackers.

Very good software. Just what I was looking for.

will it detect on realtime? or Just on demand basis?

Aready used this software (v3.311) in the recent past and worked well.
(For unwanted:Adware/Toolbars/PUP's/Browser/Advertisment Hijackers - it is a good removal tool)

Adware Cleaner is super lite , always inside my USB drive where ever I go. Effectively removed unwanted toolbar like GOsave.
 
What I find most amazing is that no AV of today (not even MBAM) comes close to Adwcleaner when it comes to clean out those pests.
Yea, I know it is not virus, but who in their right mind like to have these kind of programs on theirs computers?
More development in this area please AV industry.

Getting rid of annoying toolbars, browser add-ons installed with or without one's consent as well as eradicating adware or hijackers from a system can be a daunting job, especially if the appropriate tools are not at hand.
