Hi everyone! I downloaded an android app from Google Play Store (even with Google Play Protect) but VirusTotal says that it has malware: VirusTotal

I actually unninstaled the app, should I reset the phone? If I reset the phone the malware will dissapear?

I think McalProtect detection is software for Android to stop cracks, illegal use or reverse engineering. Since it's a game that would make sense.

I could be wrong, but it might be safe since it's on/you downloaded it from Google Play.

But there is actually malware in Google Play Store tho, and is weird having 12 detections (they were originally 8 but I think the antiviruses updated)

I was on data usage and then this appeared 😥

Judging by the VirusTotal results you have nothing to worry about. Several vendors classify it as a PUP, which means it's an app that may not be of much use, but isn't malicious. Since you've already uninstalled it, there is nothing else you need to do,

So unninstaling it and I'm fine?

Hi, this reminded me of this great link:

That's why checking the permissions requested by the application during installation and inappropriate requests will not help in this situation.
