We've just released a simple browser extension for Chrome and Firefox that alerts you when you’re about to enter credentials:

It displays a popup with the exact domain you’re on in large, clear text, making it easier to verify the site and spot potential phishing attempts.

To reduce noise, we’ve whitelisted many popular websites, so you won’t see alerts on trusted services like Google, Gmail, Outlook, PayPal, and others.

It’s lightweight and non-intrusive, and all processing happens locally in your browser, no data is sent externally.

It only periodically checks our website to update the credential forms detection rules and the list of trusted (whitelisted) sites.

Screenshot of the extension in action on a phishing URL, triggered when I was about to enter the email:

As always, feedback is welcome :)

We've made some updates according to users feedback:

Version 1.2:
Added settings page
Added whitelist management page
Added option to disable the internal whitelist
Added option to backup and restore settings
Added option to reset settings to defaults
Enhanced alert popup display
Minor improvements

You can now manage your whitelist, and also disable our internal whitelist.

Both Firefox and Chrome extensions have been updated.
