Currently, the AV I know is SecureAPlus and 360 that uses multiple engines.
SecureAPlus Cloud is not UpToDate... same for total security 360...so having an av with 50 engines is not useful...
Yes, it is the best of them, and it does use 2 engines, but I don't think the double engine is what makes Emsisoft great.Emsisoft is the best antivirus that uses multiple engine.![]()
Emsisofts BB makes it effective.I don't think the double engine is what makes Emsisoft great.
Well, the double engine thing seem to be working very good for Emsisoft considering AV-Lab's test of free malware scanners.Yes, it is the best of them, and it does use 2 engines, but I don't think the double engine is what makes Emsisoft great.
Actually, SecureAPlus is very strong by comparison, but that is because of the anti-exe component, not because of the multi-cloud AV.
Not forcibly true, it depends of the licensing made by the "renter " vendor; in the case of Emsisoft, we have have access to latest engine and signature from BD, without delays; however we don't use their cloud, only our own.The multi-engine AVs don't get real-time data-base updates from the leading companies.
So you get more false positives, and less zero-day detection.
