Serious Discussion Are there best practices for catching money mules and turning them over to the police?

Hacking into operating systems written by million-dollar companies is beyond my skill set, but there must be a hundred books written in the vein of Dale Carnegie's "How to Make Friends and Influence People" for climbing company ladders at best and manipulating people at worst. What resources can I use to get scammers to send me mules I can photograph and turn over to the police, and what other details will the attorney want to secure the conviction?

Engaging in such activities could potentially put you in legal jeopardy. It's best to report any suspicious activities to law enforcement and let them handle it. They have the resources and expertise to deal with such matters. If you want to help, you can educate yourself and others about scams, how to recognize them, and how to avoid becoming a victim. Books on social engineering might be useful for understanding how scammers operate, but they should be used for defensive purposes, not for vigilante actions.
