If you want to merge this with that thread, that would be great.The company is recalling the ASUS ROG Maximus Z690 Hero motherboards, with the part no. 90MB18E0-MVAAY0. The recall notice published by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says “a capacitor on the motherboard was installed in a reverse position which can lead to a short circuit, overheating or melting, posing fire and burn hazards”.
The CSPC is advising owners of the affected boards to stop using the device immediately and to consult the Asus website for details on how to return the product. Asus originally announced a voluntary recall of the motherboards at the end of last year.{/quote]
