Avast is a very well known antivirus.
Bought by Norton in 2021, the editor continues to maintain its product.
We test the paid version of the software, to see if it holds up to protect the user.
The product is by default. We only activate the detection of malicious tools (why isn't it activated?)
In terms of web protection, it is flawless. Avast is very responsive and blocks very effectively.
On the pack, Avast also has a very good detection, and also catches several malware at launch!
Of course, it is not infallible, because a script (GuLoader) will manage to launch itself, and a Backdoor is present, without detection by Avast. (Backdoor.Poebot)
The firewall did not block the connection...
Avast is a good product, which can be used in a family circle. It will protect your computer effectively.

Indeed, Avast decompresses the files being analyzed, and detects several malicious codes in one file. This is a very good solution, but it warns of an error when there is none!
As a result, I refused to restart the computer, as it was useless.
Avast also caught several malwares, but let through a Backdoor and a script, which are active.
Too bad, but the product is good.
