It's been working well for me the last few months.
Could be, i just dont like the way Norton is going now. When you install V24 its like a big FOR SALE sign with all the items you need to get, according to them,
Avast is been like this for years, Bitdefender pushes their VPN through your Throat. F-Secure is like a big coloringbook community now the way they designed the software.

Yeah, I don't like the look of F-Secure either. It's got a frivolous look to it. I don't know what the point is, but they know.

It least the enterprise is free of these issues
It's just consumers who get bloat added and all enterprise software I have tried had settings to make it privacy friendly meanwhile their consumer products didn't necessarily have

I think this is true of most antivirus manufacturers. The corporate versions are better and bloat-free. I also use corporate Kaspersky at home. The home version is bloated. And problematic.

I'm using eset endpoint advanced and I can send stuff to liveguard advanced and order it to be deleted after analysis so yeah every endpoint product has some kind of privacy friendly settings and endpoint products don't have bloat no ads no crypto no unnecessary data mining etc

I can confirm this. True, I don't use Eset, I use Kaspersky. Not the right direction for Home products to go.

Cryptomining, also something Norton put in their products, what a good sign of protection they have.
I think they removed it in V24 or simply hide it, since they can not be trusted anymore since they became Gen Digital.

botnet (data mining ) , crypto , adware
pretty sure you can classify that company as one of the biggest malware operators XD

Still the enterprise Symantec allows you to disable all telemetry or choose just necessary telemetry for insight to work so it's not bad in terms of privacy

all gendigital products are now super duper bad, if you see their behavior and their tactics, they are going to be a PUP! but yeah a pup with malware detection. instead of merging technologies and creating a good product look what they are doing. like one of our friends said, please take a look at Trendmicro no bloatware, or it's better to say no on the face bloatware! with Microsoft Defender getting strong, it seems some companies are looking at some PUP behaviors to improve revenue.as a normal user, you don't need third-party antimalware apps in Windows these days. the choice of antimalware apps is getting narrow each year, what good company remains? Kaspersky and its political situation? Bitdefender and its heavy bloatwarey apps?! Even Eset started some PUP behavior! with their offering of protected folder, liveguard and etc for higher tier apps, although I give them credit if they have a bloatware it does not install with the product, it does not bother you after you click I don't want it, and it's not in your face. the list goes on !! with this situation, I think we will see more behaviors like ESET (getting protection technologies if you pay more) and Norton ( fully pup and lazy just for money business)

Mcafee and TrendMicro are really the only ones that haven't injected BS into it's GUI's and Microsoft defender. Malwarebytes is okay however I'm not a fan of the VPN GUI not being able to "hide" it away from the GUI. Malwarebytes browser guard im not a fan of the extension now alerting about breaches it's just another sneaky way to obtain revenue.
