Advice Request Best choice for default audio player?

MusicBee seems to be good for me at least, however anything that can play my music without any problems is fine by me.

i think itunes is not good it slows down the startup of the pc uses memory and adds
extra things you might not need like Quicktime,Bonjour

for just a good audio player the one i like is AIMP 3.55

That's a good question, ..and it's occurred to me that I'm not even sure which player I use on Windows 8.1.

1. Windows Media Player is one we still use on Windows 7
   
2. The tiny Win Amp (is that WMP?) I liked using on with our old XP.
   
3. iTunes are good, but used a lot of resources on XP. The free podcasts (Ken Burns Jazz Series) were my absolute favorites!

may I add a litle, WMP is the best default player for Windows user, with CCCPACK
CCCP not oftenly update (normal update/upgrade version build) not like K-Lite Codec
weekly updates. With no hassle to add and Install third party Player...just Install CCCP

But if you're looking for a free alternative then I'd suggest Jet Audio.
