Blurry image rendering in Chromium browsers

Update: The issue was fixed in the Canary builds of Chromium a couple of months ago. I was waiting for it to hit the stable builds to post an update here, and now looks like it has made its way into the stable builds. Probably with Chromium version 102.
Now images look as they should, similar to Firefox in all Chromium browsers (y) Finally, after almost 7 years.

Resurrecting this thread just to let everyone know that, along with Chromium's image rendering issue back then, I also shared in comments that it also had/still has an issue on some, if not all, AMD GPUs where, if your monitor resolution and video resolution don't match, the video appears a bit blurry.

There's a workaround to fix this (adding --disable_direct_composition_video_overlays=1 flag on Chromium browser's shortcut) which I have been using all these years.

Microsoft Edge's "Enhance Video" feature also almost entirely fixes this without using any workaround.

But after all these years, a Chromium dev has provided an update in my bug report that,
AMD has started looking at addressing the root cause of this issue, which is due to the filtering used in the Videoprocessor API. Stay tuned.
So, AMD has finally acknowledged and started working to fix the issue 👏

Seeing the previous comments on this thread, the "Local Host" guy was yapping for nothing and was one of those "I'm always right" guys 🙄 Yet he has been proven wrong on everything he yapped here.

Anyway, if I don't forget I will share one last update on this thread when AMD releases a driver containing the fix for this blurry video bug.
