Still no update beside the v. 1.9.80 earlier this week. Maybe they're having trouble?
No porblems on Android. I like brave://flags. Nice feature. The strange behavious with iOS is back. It jumps to the wrong post on any alert I click on for this forum if I've been in that thread before. Since I use my phone browser 50% for MT browsing this is a deal breaker. I'll report it and try again when it's updated.
On iOS it’s WebKit, so who knows what’s going on.No porblems on Android. I like brave://flags. Nice feature.
However, Shields does offer an Aggressive option for blocking Ads and trackers. Selecting the Aggressive option will block all site ads and trackers, including the first party ones.
Yes, It's agressive. Just kidding. I believe it is generally similar to other browsers' adblocking levels, e.g. Edge Chromium's basic, balanced & strict. I'm using both aggressive adblocking and strict fingerprint protection. No broken webpages that I'm aware of. There is a wierd bug on YouTube but not sure if it's related to Shields or not.Anyone knows what's this new "Aggressive" setting is about?
I also see this Youtube bug now... Wonder what it is. Have you reported it to Brave?Yes, It's agressive. Just kidding. This bug occurs only while cursor hovers over iframe but video displays clearly otherwise.
My guess is Brave will intorduce these options to relelase channel after some testing and feedback.
It's already been reported.Have you reported it to Brave?
Yes, I use it too.Everything is just fine with Stable release...
Yes, this Youtube bug is caused by Strict Fingerprinting protection. Tuning it back solves the issueYes, It's agressive. Just kidding. Strange, I turned it back and still had it. Maybe page didn't refresh properly.Yes, this Youtube bug is caused by Strict Fingerprinting protection. Tuning it back solves the issue
The Shields UI fingerprinting protection switch is broken on my Nightly. I simply didn't notice this when I changed frrom "strict" --> "standard."Yes, this Youtube bug is caused by Strict Fingerprinting protection. Tuning it back solves the issue
I was getting the same 'interference' on YouTube last week when using Firefox, as with your example when the curser was over the iframe it showed like the screenshot, move it away and I got the full video screen as it should be. I played around with a few extensions that I thought might have caused it with no success. It disappeared sometime at the end of last week, I'm not sure when as I didn't use YouTube for several days.Yes, It's agressive. Just kidding. My similar issue was when using Firefox, but if its a fingerprinting protection issue its quite possible that other browsers would see something like this too, especially if its a G**gle site that the fingerprinting defence causes issues with I'm not surprised. But, one of my extensions that I tried turning off to resolve the issue was Canvas Defender and that made no difference.Strange, I turned it back and still had it. Maybe page didn't refresh properly.
Latest Brave release channel update includes a number of fixes, including improved anti-tracking and anti-fingerprinting features: Version 1.11.97 Chromium: 84.0.4147.89 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Stay Brave and enjoy!
