something "significant" changed in this version ov Brave... When I relaunched it to finish this update it was blocked by DeepInstinct -- looks like "ransomeware behavior" to Di.

reference earlier post re DeepInstinct blocking the update of Brave 1.73.101, I stepped away from pc for a couple hours and when I returned I had a new Di alert that app (or update) was safe and can be accessed -- but it still would not run so I uninstalled Brave on that pc. I suspect a new install of Brave will fix the problem... I rarely get false positives with Di
