Excuse me, is Brave better than Google? I have been using Google for number of years and most friends recommend me to use Brave.
Can any member state their benefits if feasible?
Thanks in advance for the kind assistance rendered!
It's obviously one of many Chromium forks (not sure whether Chromium belongs to the similar named browser you mentioned).
I use it as backup to Edge, I'm quite happy with the Chromium Edge (never used the old one).
Brave seems to get updates a tad faster than the M$ variant, and seems to autoupdate, whether Edge seems to wait for user input sometimes.
Brave advertises with strong privacy features and a built in Adblocker, which is quite strong IMO; however I bundle both Edge and Brave w/ AdGuard, blocking YT ads and others flawlessly.
What I dislike about Brave is the Rewards and Crypto thingies it used to enable by default, and shows prominently.
Not sure about the built in VPN; if autoenabled, I did disable, I used F-Secure FreeDome till lately.
Some day Brave broke and couldn't autoupdate, this was the day I switched to Edge, and I sticked to it, mainly also because of the SmartScreen feature (also use Bitdefender TrafficLight for website filtering).
So maybe you can get further input by others.
In terms of speed, ease of use, I cannot tell a difference.
As per Google Chrome, I haven't used it in decades, it was replaced by Brave in early days, when it was clearly more comfortable.
