I've heard they are good brand, but I have never owned one.

What devices are you planning to use your headset with; PC, Mac, Game consoles etc?
What's your budget?
Any special requirements you're looking for in a headset? (ie. Noise cancellation)

I can confirm that sennheiser products have an impressive price/quality ratio, maybe the best brand out there at affordable prices :)

haha its funny when you say affordable when there priced high. Me personally, I go for natural sounding because I am prettttttty picky on sound quality, so the ones i bought are audio technica ath m40x and westone um pro 10 in ear.

M40x - http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technic...1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408204178&sr=8-1&keywords=m40x

um pro 10 - http://www.amazon.com/Westone-Pro10...=1408204226&sr=8-1&keywords=westone+um+pro+10

The only down fall on the m40x is the length of the cable, but the m50x has a short cable and with a little more bass then m40x. Me personally, cable don't bother me at all because I have it rolled up half way!!

Philips SHL3000/00 from my side

http://www.philips.co.in/c/headphon...4FA616ADBA604737.app120-drp2?t=specifications
I have been using philips shp2700 for 2 years. No problem till now. I use it 24/7 . people around me gets angry because i always keep on the headphone.

i am worried about wire strength of shl3000.
in shp2700 you can see there is only one wire coming out and is more wider than two wire coming out of other headphones.

There is not enough specification about Sennheiser HD 180. So can't compare sound quality. But it is very flexible. You won't get that it philips.

But you don't need that kind of flexibility if you take care of your headphone.

they are comparing Philips SHL3000 with double, triple or even higher priced products. So of course they will say that Philips SHL3000 quality is low compared to them.

Sennheiser HD 180 build quality seems good compared to philips. In review some say it good some say it bad. Speaker size is good. will easily fit in ear.

Philips SHL3000. you will get good sound quality. but i am worried about the speaker size. If your ear don't fit in it then you will be in trouble.

then there is
Panasonic RP-HT161E-K Over-Ear Headphone
http://www.amazon.in/Panasonic-RP-HT161E-K-Over-Ear-Headphone-Black/dp/B003X5XQNW
it should fit in your ear
