2-17-2015 ran Mawarebytes quarantined files
Current issues and symptoms
2/18/2015 restarted computer as suggested after quarantine. Now cannot connect to server. Message says: "Unable to connect to proxy server"
Steps taken in order to remove the infection
Not techie. So nothing done. Cannot load Farbar Recovery Scan Tool because can't connect to Internet. Currently using an iPad

I am not sure what you did, but you didn't follow my instructions precisely. Follow again my instructions at post #17.

Thank you. I followed #17 and I'm back online. Seems to be running ok now.

How do I choose "recommended" HP updates? I'm kind of scared to update anything now.
