Seems like Comodo is on life support. They literally don't add any functionality anymore, just patch tiny bugs for which they need months to release the update. And that's about it. I guess the "Ask" feature for their Containment is just too much to ask for and they just can't make it a reality. Even though Comodo Cloud AV had it. But they sacked that one too. So... XD

IMHO if they remove some functions and tighten up like the product to just the firewall, hips and sandbox it will be a perfect product for them.

Theres bunch of features added last year, it was windows wich messed up with their product

Aswell their extension got removed from chrome a while ago, but is still available for firefox afaik

Even theyre messed up badly lately, im still looking after them...probably starting to messing up with kaspersky cloud free + Comodo firewall soon again

Its free product, tons of tweaking available so i would not bash it even they have failed lately ( forum breached, half year waiting for this release, extension(?) & Comodo cloud killed, dns swapped to neustar etc. )

I asked many times in their forum about the “Ask” feature and guess what? They never answered. Since Umesh left, the developing of Comodo got extremely slow.

It does seem with the latest .7036 release that Comodo finally got the problems fixed. I do like their firewall. A lot. But I'll wait a few more weeks before giving it another try. The last fiasco with them is still too fresh in my memory.

Best Practice is that if your current setup is giving no problems wait for the internal updater before updating manually.

However if one has issues with their current setup, then save the Configuration (if needed), use the Comodo uninstall tool, then install the new build.
