I am presently running Comodo Firewall 11 on Windows 10 pro x64, 1803. Clean install of Comodo. No issues.

Strangely, among the ten thousand or so vendors trusted by Comodo, Appguard is not to be found!
When I first installed CFW, I thought I borked my system, because the desktop didn't finish loading for ages. It turned out that all Appguard processes were being blocked by default. After adding it to the TVL, all was well.

How did you perform that clean install of Comodo?

CIS V11 does not even recognize itself, nor does it recognize MS Edge, or many other legit MS system files. I'm digging into it in the VM myself right now. Finding a few long standing issues already..

That's funny, I did not have those issues.
I have yet to test CIS in the last couple years and not find legit system files unrecongized. I also monitor system events, as one would be surprised how many errors CIS generates.

I'm still laughing at CIS not recognizing itself... :D

This test is being done via Windows 10 pro 1803 current updates, in Vmware 14.1.2 build-8497320.

Edit:
i ran a File rating scan manually and there are no unrecognized files, and all is trusted...

I just saw in the thread about the new CIS 11 beta release that they issued a fix for a bug that caused old recognized files to become unrecognized. Maybe that is the bug you saw?

1 I did a quick search of my system for any remnants of previous Comodo installations.
2 I downloaded the offline installer, and ran it (unticking the AV component) on an Admin account.
3 I rebooted to the same Admin account.
Because that is necessary I rather use WD with some other tools running beneath. Why do you tolerate that?

Why do you tolerate that?
Well, because:
1 I am a glutton for punishment and keep coming back for more :)
2 It's free
3 I really only use it for the firewall module, and it's hard to find a good standalone firewall these days.
I disable everything possible except for the firewall module, and also I have a certain poorly designed business app that I run in Comodo sandbox because I don't trust it, I suspect that it is easily abused.
