Hello,

I come back to you because very often the protection no longer works.

Indeed at the time of writing his lines, Crystal Security is blocking anything as I did not touch anything.

I have to leave and re-open. Sometimes I have to do this several times a day, that's not very reassuring as Mechanical Protection: /

Am I the only one with this problem?

Hi @Malfhas

Thank you for the feedback.

Can you provide answers to following questions:
  1. Which operating system
  2. 32 or 64-bit
  3. Other security software
Thanks in advance. :)
Just a heads up Kardo that Crystal Security is detecting "mack32.dll", a component of COMODO Antivirus, as "suspicious".

@NOLF92

Thank you for the information. :)

Can you please send mack32.dll file in zip via PM?

Also, if possible please tell me which engine detected file?

Regards,
Kardo

1. Windows 10 Pro (Threshold 2)
2. 64 bits
3. Comodo Internet Security (I had the same problem with Norton Security)

@Malfhas Thanks for the quick reply. :)

Please try the following workarounds:
  1. Disable other security software temporarily and launch Crystal Security.
  2. Try to exclude or whitelist Crystal Security files in other security software via settings or options.
Please let me know about results.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Kardo

Hi @Kardo Kristal ! I leave crystal security because I had some (little) problems with my pc.
But now I re-use it ! But I have some questions about it :
1) What is Stealth guard ?
2) Whats is shell integration ?
3) What do checkup do ? Is it like anothers AV scan's ?
4) Do Crystal skip UAC on startup ?
Thanks ! :)

@TheSuperGeek Thank you for the information. :)
  1. Stealth Guard is like a lock down feature to allow only Trusted files to launch. All newly created and unknown files are blocked automatically. It is also possible to exclude new file anytime.
  2. Shell integration is context-menu (right-click) scan. If you enable this feature then you can analyze individual file or folder.
  3. Yes. Checkup lists all files on your computer and then pick up suspicious and unsafe files.
  4. By default no but some users asked how to skip UAC prompt on start-up. You can find workaround here.
Oh and I have a report of a bug : I was making a scan and Crystal closed suddently :(

I looked into it. Please try to whitelist the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Norton\
  1. Launch Crystal Security
  2. Navigate to Whitelist section
  3. Right-click to open menu
  4. Choose: Add Folder to Whitelist
I hope it helps. :)

Kardo
