I guess only mods can make entries for vendors.

I tried to re-produce it but without success.

I downloaded Eicar test file. Modified Criteria settings and Eicar was detected as Suspicious. Got alert and saw each vendor detection via Details. Analyzed file via Overview, got alert with same result.

Tried also with default Criteria settings (then Eicar was deteced as Unsafe because of the high detection ratio).

I am not sure but maybe it was temporary issue. If reported issue occurs again then please let me know.

So i am testing your program again and i can confirm that it doesn't check all files(or at least it doesn't add them in whitelist) and allows them.
I am really confused so will try to make it simple.

1. Does crystal security allow a file if it can't access VT using the local database?
2. Does the program use the free VT api or paid(restricted access 4/minute)
3. When does a program get added in whitelist?

Thanks for the feedback.

Please be sure that the following options are enabled under Settings:

Protection => Analysis mode

• Start as Admin (required for "Active processes mode")
• Created objects
• Modified objects
• Active processes

You can also try out On-access setting.

Monitoring => Scope

• All files
• Program files
• System files
• Custom

After changes do not forget to click on "Apply".

It is helpful if you can describe your issue step-by-step then I can try to re-produce it.

1. Does crystal security allow a file if it can't access VT using the local database?

3. When does a program get added in whitelist?

1. Yes. Then it is detected as "Safe [internal]"
2. It is free API but limitation is 10 requests/per minute/per IP
3. It depends on your Settings (Behavior and Criteria)

Because Crystal Security doesn't have digital signature, It doesn't mean It's not the official version.

My KTS2017MR0 is detecting portable version downloaded from CS site as UDS (KSN/Cloud) detection, I have just reported the false positive...

Also KL VirusDesk detects it as:

To anybody reading this thread that has not yet given Crystal Security a try I highly recommend Installing it..
If you use Malwarebytes pro or Zemana...then I recommend using this instead.

There are 2 types of notifications: based on user decision and based on auto decision.

Your notification is based on auto-decision.

i cant use crystal security,,and i dont know why.....i install it and dont work at all ..i cant even open it...i have this problem since version 3.5.0.184....maybe is something wrong with my pc....dont know
