Yes, I actually created a badge that can be used anywhere within CyberLock Settings (and new ones will be super easy to implement), but I only implemented it for the Whitelist and Command Lines tab for now because it would look funny if we had too many. For example, we could add the badge to the User Log tab, but there really is not a reason to do so. I might add a badge to the Quarantine tab, but it would only show when there are items in Quarantine.
see 1 thing with CL 9.03 siriusGPT has not alerted to anything but when I open its tab it's just spinning & spinning searching for that one not_safe file. Not sure if it's just post install loop, or when you open that tab it just starts searching,I see it stopped with all safe. ok it seems just going to the SiriusGPT tab starts it searching / scanning. it says the last snapshot was 53s. and 9.03 did clear out all the old command line and I see a superscript 0. so GOOD.

@danb,

I am currently running Windows 11 x64 (fully patched) with Cyberlock 9.03 and DefenderUI 2.03.

I encountered an issue regarding the exclusion management feature.

Issue: Unable to remove exclusions. Steps to reproduce:
  1. Open DefenderUI.
  2. Go to "Manage exclusions".
  3. Click the minus button (-) on the left side of an entry. Result: The exclusion is not removed / Nothing happens. Expected: The selected exclusion should be removed from the list.
Let me know if you need any logs or screenshots.

Best regards,

Bruno Eduardo

@danb minor snafu (maybe) with CL 9.03 seemed fine yesterday, this morning I opened Edge to check the weather and I notice CPU spiking at 100% & taskmanager showed it was Cyberlock, this went on for several minutes for so I exited CL and it took another minute or 2 and Edge finally opened. So I clicked to reopen CL and it seemed not to fully open, no icons in taskbar. So I closed everything and rebooted win10 and it all seems back to normal. not sure I can reproduce as not clear what happened other than opening Edge...

You can either reset your Whitelist, or go into the Whitelist tab and search for that item and delete it. This should fix the issue, thank you!

Thank you Bruno! I just tested the exclusions and they are working on my end. You might check the Windows Event Viewer / Windows Logs / Applications for DefenderUI Errors. If there are no DefenderUI events for this issue in the Event Viewer, I can add some debugging code that will help us figure out why this is happening. You might restart your computer first though and see if it works after that. But if you continue to experience this issue, let me know and I will add some debug code and send you a debug version, and that will tell us why it is not working as expected.

I am quite certain this is a total fluke, or possibly DI is still interfering. Can you please email me your C:\ProgramData\CyberLock\DeveloperLog.log and I can look into this, thank you!

Running smoothly at my end and tried it with a few different setups. On random very low priority thing, I noticed that when you uninstall CL, it doesn't remove the SmartFirewall rules in Windows Firewall.
Very cool, thank you for letting me know! Yeah, we would have to somehow include the firewall rule removal in the uninstaller to do something like this. I will think about it and see what options we have.

wow I deserve a "badge" for finding that :ROFLMAO: totally appreciate your support responsiveness availability over the years!! :)
Yes you do ;)! Can you please send me your C:\ProgramData\CyberLock\DeveloperServiceLog.log when you get a chance so I make sure it is fixed correctly? Thank you!

Very cool, thank you, this version should fix your issue. Please send me your 2 logs a day or so after you have been running this version.

Also, I noticed that the desktop icon and right click Windows Explorer items for SiriusGPT, DefenderUI Pro and WDAC Lockdown were not working correctly after all of the changes. They are fixed now, so once we are sure everything is fixed, I will post all of the latest versions. If you guys find anything else, please let me know. It would not at all surprise me if we have another small bug or two, with all of the changes we made.

installed 9.03b friday 13 Mar 1903 utc, the install went smoothly. One curious observation, 9.03 the version that pinned cpu 100% when I opened Edge, then after I rebooted win10, 9.03 has / had not pinned the cpu again, about 24h passed, but also did not run Edge, although I'm sure something else was involved other than Edge. DeepInstinct quiet, if it does something I get a flag, and no DI flags. I'll open Edge tomorrow before I send logs.

EDIT: PS the manually cleared whitelist and also the cmd lines.

Hey guys!

Here are the latest versions... I actually made bigger changes than I was anticipating, but hopefully we will not see any bugs, but please let me know if you do! The main big change is that the GUI connection to the service is now self healing. This should not introduce any bugs... but never say never ;).

Thank you,

Installation went smoothly. Will keep you updated if anything weird happens. Thanks a lot for the regular updates. 👌

@danb When I unselect "Enable balloon notification and user prompts" it still disaplays a sirius dialog ? I was offline. How do I make it so that it blocks without asking the user ? Prompting the user to please go online is OK. But asking a file to be allowed is not a question that user should answer.

There a a couple of different ways to do this, depending on what exactly you are trying to accomplish. For example, if you disable the "Enable balloon notification and user prompts" option, then CyberLock should only flash the Desktop Shield Gadget to let the user know why something is being blocked, but it should not display the user prompt. If it is, please let me know exactly how you are getting the user prompt to show, that way we can make it so that the user prompt does not show when that option is disabled. I just tested and it is working great for me, so you must be doing something different than I am that is causing the user prompt to show. Once we figure that out, it will be a super easy fix.

Then there is also a different option that blocks all new non-whitelisted items, and shows the user prompt, and if the user clicks Allow, then it sends the request to the Web Management Console so the Admin can allow the item if needed. This option is under the Web Management tab / Require admin approval before letting the user allow new, non-whitelisted files (disables left click of CyberLock).

Our prompts are designed so that most users are perfectly safe when responding to one of our user prompts. For example, if the user tries to allow a file that is Not Safe, it will as them twice before allowing. This works great for all users except super happy clickers, and for these users, the feature in the Web Management tab described above is usually the best solution.

But that is why we have several different options... there is no one right way to handle user prompts, so CyberLock provides as many options as possible to fit as many use cases as possible.

Please let me know how you are getting the user prompt to appear when the "Enable balloon notification and user prompts" option is disabled, or please post or email me a screenshot and we will figure it, thank you!
