Hi guys, I am curious if you have your dishwasher to be serviced from time to time by a technician or do it yourself?
And how often should it be maintained? Thank you.
Consult your product manual to find out how to service a dishwasher, but in general depending on the usage, you need to service it with detergent that contains non-ionic surfactants once a month, by running it on the hottest cycle. You can clean the filter before or after and top-up the salt.
Speaking of that Europe will implement new requirements (together with a new eco sticker coming up) that will require vendors to release appliances that will last reasonably long and will be easier to repair. Right now, washing machine bearings for example can’t be replaced, you need to change the whole plastic tub with the drum and everything.
Leave it to the technician..A dishwasher has more advanced plumbing/circuitry than a washing machine..Of course get a few quotes if it's not under warranty
