DO NOT BUY AVAST BATTERY SAVER FOR WINDOWS.

> Don't be stupid.

> If you use Windows 10, Microsoft provides Battery Saver options for laptops. You do not need to buy software to preserve battery life.

> There are people willing to sell their souls to defend Avast, don't be that naïve.

To block unnecessary power drains and improve your PC’s battery life, Avast Battery Saver applies the following actions:
  • Lowers processor frequency
  • Optimizes display settings
  • Disables Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (only if these functions are not in use).

it seems their business is affected badly after selling data accident s they try to compensate that by dd another resources of income.
According to Avast Forum posts; the beta version was released in Sept 2019 and final version in Feb 2020.

The pricing was not mentioned during the beta period, so they made up a figure.

Wow! This is crazy to think that folks would pay for something like this.... A lot of built in tools will do the same thing here as you have mentioned @Spawn !

Avast is taking a dive... Sadly, stuff like this further drives me to not recommend the software what-so-ever now. Between this and their constant trying to up-sell stuff.. Crazy!

Great post here @Spawn ! Hope everyone here at MT lets their friends and family know not to buy this stuff.

My grandmother, who is quite tech savy for her age, ended up buying one of these things from Avast because of there fear prompts. I decided to switch to Windows Defender for her, I lost a lot of respect for Avast along with their data collection policy.

Another useless bad non innovating stuff.why just they don't focus on improving their security software instead exerting an effort in additional software.
if they has a plenty of time and developers they shall focus on improving the performance of their software and add additional features which they lack and other vendors have

Absolute ridiculous! Avast is going downhill for a while, but this is insane, snakeoil at it finest.

I wont touch anything that Avast owns, including Piriform products.
yes i gave up ccleaner from long time .they make it Ad software and bundling it with avast installer.i am feeling bad it was great software and one of first software which offers real enhancing windows tool with simple GUI

If I'm not mistaken, it was also an Android version of Avast Battery Saver on Google Play, but there isn't anymore.
