Big change: I've had to remove Comodo Firewall for the reasons that I specified in my first post, SAS has been set to on demand only and both Avira and ClamAV for windows have been removed.

Did you try uninstalling using Revo Uninstaller? :)
The installation freezes my computer, this is after I have uninstalled it.
Why does everyone suggest that I use Revo AFTER I've uninstalled a program?

Caused Revo Uninstaller can made a restore points in case to undo the changes then it can clean all leftovers from the process using Revo after uninstalling an application.

Cause of the left over files, folders and registry strings. Thats why. Also why are you using Comodo sandbox only? Why not just use Sandboxie.

I'm using PC tools Firewall, not Comodo Sandbox.
I already have GeSWall, so I don't need Sandboxie.

Well its still listed in your config. If your not using it then remove it from your config so others will not be confused. Thanks.

I put it in {} and put currently replaced by PC tools Firewall below it.
I'd love to be able to use strike through tags on it.

Just remove it. How is anyone suppose to know that {} means you removed it. Thanks.

Better off removing it then explain what you removed and why in a reply.

I've made it clearer now.
I had stated why I removed it in my OP.

A bit off-topic: One reason why CIS install can fail is leftovers from previously installed version. There is a community developed tool that cleans such leftovers on COMODO forums: link.

That was what I had to use to get rid of Comodo Firewall in the first place, the built in uninstaller didn't work.

Might want to give this a try (try at your own risk, backup before...etc.):
  • Open a Command Prompt (as Admin under Win7) and type in the following:
    Code:
    set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1
    devmgmt.msc
What it does: By default Windows hides drivers for devices that are not connected (applications such as CIS also use drivers). The first line from above instructs Windows to allow users to view such drivers.
  • Press Enter and Device Manager will show up.
  • In Device Manager go to View and select Show Hidden Devices
  • Expand the Non-Plug And Play Drivers category
  • If you find any "COMODO" leftover drivers you can right click on them and select Uninstall.

I might do that soon.
