Why wouldn't government's make their "own" custom build security software?

They Spend billions and billions on making fighter jet's... their cash stack is almost infinite so why not?

Govt's tend to have their own OS Forks. Usually Linux for higher security. The Italian Govt. years ago were forking Linux for their governmental systems ensuring high security. Eventually that filtered down to Maegia Linux, which is a nice security, self-security auditing distro. But the reality is, when you are partnered at the hip with Trend Micro and McAfee, why make your own when you are largely funding those already? Trend fused CIA Analysts and Booz Threat Labs into their own, essentially making what largely is a govt. run AV firm.

Side Note: They had special interest in Webroot early on as well. But when the CEO turned them down he started telling people the govt. was working with aliens and were harassing/following him around for some reason and that they had all kinds of super advanced technology. Eventually he was found at the bottom of a cliff.

Ok but why have partners involved in something so secretive, just more threat surface, isn't that how you would see it.

What is your opinion on this, gut feeling.

I would guess there are two primary considerations;

1) He went crazy.
2) He was very smart and wealthy, was on to something and viewed as a risk to their agenda.

Option 1 would ignore the hundreds of thousands of people across the world that report similar things. Targeted individuals, gang stalked people, blah blah blah. Some people thought Michael Hasting's was going nuts when he said his electronics weren't working right and he was convinced they had some advanced technology to take over his Mercedes from remote. (look up how he died and what he was researching at time of death)

Option 2 is no less comforting. They have technology that can pretty well screw up your reality. To the untrained observer, it can appear like paranormal activity. When you go tampering with frequencies, brainwaves/microwaves, and other things you can pretty well mess someone up pretty good. Alien technology or advanced govt, or hybrid govt+alien technology is just another in a long list of questions for those investigating such matters. (up to and including psychotronic, radionic, scalar, etc)

Honest answer, appreciate it. I think most people know this type of thing is probably going on but it's to horrible for gentle people to really consider in-depth, I put myself in this category.

Sorry for dragging this thread off topic.
